Asexual reproduction is when a new life form is created using one cell. Only one parent is required. That cell splits to form an exact genetic copy of itself.
Fragmentation: A form of asexual reproduction that involves a parent organism breaking into smaller pieces; each can grow into a new organism.
Binary Fission: Asexual reproduction by a separation of the body into two new bodies. In the process, the organism duplicates its genetic material, or deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), and then divides into 2 parts
(cytokinesis), with each new organism receiving one copy of the DNA.
Budding: Budding is a form of asexual reproduction in which a new organism forms from an outgrowth or bud due to cell division at that point.
